Pod Volunteer

Pod Volunteer places people in 1-12 week volunteering projects around the world, working in areas including animal conservation, education and community.

You could choose to share your existing skills within a project – for example using film and photography knowledge to help create a community initiative in Ghana, or try something entirely new, like helping build schools in Madagascar.

Volunteers could be at any stage of their life, from school students (some projects count towards the Duke of Edinburgh award), gap year students right through to working holidays for professionals, career breakers and those who are retired.

Choose the length of stay based on time you have available and cost you can afford. Complete a simple online application form, wait to be sent further details and considerations for that project, and in some cases you’ll have an informal phone interview with the Pod Volunteer team before being offered a place.

Pod Volunteer’s blog is a useful resource to learn more about volunteering projects from volunteers themselves, including ‘a day in the life’ pieces and spotlights on specific projects.
