On Purpose is “a community that helps you find your work in the world: work that matters and work you care about.”
They offer programmes based in London, Paris and Berlin and depending on your level of experience you can take two routes: the Associate Programme or CEO Programme.
On the Associate Programme you’ll get paid to work full-time for one year, on two six month placements within purpose-driven social enterprises, social divisions of for-profit companies or commercially-minded charities. Besides doing an impactful job, you’ll receive training every week and have access to mentoring and coaching on a fortnightly and quarterly basis.
The average Associate will have seven years’ work experience, be a problem-solver and generalist, with the capability of becoming a future leader. There’s an April and October cohort each year, for which applicants complete a form and if successful, they’re invited to a face-to-face interview.
The CEO Programme is part-time over six months and gears you up to be a more effective leader by focussing on three key themes:
- Purpose clarified
- Purpose in action
- Purpose amplified
As the name suggests, applicants will already be working as a CEO or Managing Director of a purpose-led organisation. Note: a step-by-step application process for the CEO Programme isn’t detailed on the website.
