Inspiring the future

Inspiring the Future is a voluntary service for professionals to inspire young people about opportunities in the workplace. Volunteers give up an hour of their time each year to visit local state schools or colleges around the UK and share their story with pupils – talking through what kind of education they had, jobs they have done and careers they have built.

The service means young people gain first-hand insight into potential career options and can make better informed decisions about subjects to study while still in education, or apprenticeships/university degrees/jobs they may want to consider once they leave school or college.

There are other areas of focus volunteers can get involved with too, including helping young people with CV and interview preparation, or specifically inspiring girls to not hold back from going for the job they want.
